SUMMARY:North Carolina Prisons and Jails in the Time of COVID-19: Professor Barbara Fedders
DESCRIPTION:The country’s prisons and jails are well-known COVID-19 hot spots\, and North Carolina is no exception. With help from law students and a recent graduate\, Professor Barbara Fedders secured early release from prison of a man whose underlying medical conditions placed him at risk of severe complications from COVID-19 if he were to contract it. Join Professor Fedders\, director of the Youth Justice Clinic\, on Wednesday\, July 8 to hear about her ongoing research and advocacy on behalf of vulnerable incarcerated people. \nThis is the first of a three-part faculty webinar series\, Law in the Time of COVID-19.
