DESCRIPTION:We at Carolina Law understand that a law student’s community plays an important role in their success at law school. We believe that the more a student’s support system understands about the rigorous academic and professional demands of law school\, the more they will be able to help their loved ones succeed at Carolina Law. We welcome the friends\, family\, and loved ones of all first-year law students to learn more about UNC School of Law at Law Family Day on Saturday\, September 10\, 2022 from 8:30am – 2:30pm at the law school. \nThe program will include: \n\nWelcome and Remarks from Martin H. Brinkley\, Dean of UNC School of Law\nA Mock Class taught by a member of the law school faculty\nAn Introduction to the offices of Student Development and Career Development\, and the Pro Bono program\nStudent Panel:  Hear from members of the Class of 2023 and 2024 about their experiences at UNC Law\nN.C. SUMMARY:Constitution Day Celebration with U.S. Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta
DESCRIPTION:Each year\, UNC School of Law organizes the campus-wide Constitution Day celebration to commemorate September 17\, the day on which the Constitution of the United States was signed. Constitution Day allows schools and colleges across the country to reflect on United States history\, the deeper meanings within the Constitution and hopes it represents for the future. \nThe law school will celebrate the federal observance this year on September 14 with a fireside chat with United States Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta in the UNC School of Law Kathrine R. Everett Law Library at 4:00 p.m. Mary-Rose Papandrea\, Samuel Ashe Distinguished Professor of Constitutional Law\, will engage with Associate Attorney General Gupta about her career and service as well as her work as it relates to the Constitution. A reception will follow the discussion.
