We plan to reschedule this event sometime during the fall of 2020.\nRoom 5052 \nJoin Judge Emin Toro ’00\, of the United States Tax Court\, for a lunchtime conversation about his career path and work. Judge Toro joined the Tax Court as a presidential appointee and was confirmed in 2019. He was formerly a partner in the Washington\, DC\, office of Covington & Burling LLP where his practice focused on the needs of multinational companies\, including both tax controversies and counseling. Judge Toro’s experience includes audits\, administrative appeals\, litigation and transfer pricing matters. He received his JD from Carolina Law in 2000 and clerked for the Honorable Karen LeCraft Henderson\, US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia (2000–2001) and the Honorable Clarence Thomas\, US Supreme Court (2002–2003). This event is hosted by Professor Joni Walser ’86 and open to all law students.
