Erika is a Post-Doc Research Associate with the UNC Center for Civil Rights and North Carolina licensed attorney, focusing primarily on Civil Rights and Poverty Law. She has a B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina A&T State University and recently graduated cum laude from North Carolina Central University School of Law with a concentration in Civil Rights and Constitutional Law. While in law school, Erika gained valuable civil rights and legal research experience through various internships and externships, including judicial internships with Judge Richard Elmore at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Justice Samuel Ervin IV at the North Carolina Supreme Court. Prior to joining the Center for Civil Rights, she was a Willie C. Dawson Fellow with the Disaster Relief Project at Legal Aid of North Carolina.
