Biography

As a member of the Faculty Administrative Services team, Jacob is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the financial transaction records for 45 faculty members, helping ensure professors stay within their allotted budgets and comply with university spending rules. He also aids faculty in their unique areas of study and instruction by assisting with everything from clerical tasks such as tracking class attendance and printing instructional materials to contributing to large long-term research projects, ranging from privacy in court records to mass sovereign debt litigation, organizing data to maximize research output. Jacob excelled at the City University of New York, Baruch College, where he earned his BA magna cum laude in Philosophy & Political Science and was a finalist for the Arnold Pickler Excellence Award in Political Science, and the Morton Award for Outstanding Achievement in Political Science. He has served as a Logistics Manager and Ambassador for the We Defy Foundation, assisting combat veterans in their transitions to civilian life and management of donation funds. For this volunteer work, he was awarded Outstanding Ambassador by foundation leadership in 2021. His employment background includes working as a Congressional Fellow for Rep. Dusty Johnson’s office in Washington, D.C., as a Cryptology Analyst for the National Security Agency, and as a Law Enforcement Supervisor onboard the USS George H.W. Bush where he deployed as part of Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation Inherent Resolve. In his near decade of active duty with the US Navy, Jacob worked with a diverse international group and was decorated throughout for superior performance to include multiple Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Navy Unit Commendation Medal, and a Flag Letter of Commendation.
