Biography

As the Director of Public Interest Advising, Kathleen is responsible for establishing, expanding, and maintaining relationships with Public Interest employers and helping facilitate Public Interest employment opportunities for students and alumni at UNC School of Law. Kathleen received her B.A. in Journalism from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. After graduation, Kathleen moved west to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received her M.S. in Legal Administration and her J.D. After law school, Kathleen spent the first five years specializing in Corporate Compliance and Civil Litigation. Prior to joining UNC School of Law, Kathleen worked for five years in public interest law as Associate Director of the Colorado Lawyers Committee, a nonprofit focused on high-impact, pro bono litigation for children and the underserved. In her spare time, Kathleen enjoys volunteering with her three children through National Charity League and boys team charity.
