Biography

Jill Franke has been teaching Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct professor at UNC since 2020. She received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2011 where she was a member of the Law Review. Upon graduation, Jill clerked for then Chief Judge John Martin at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for two years. Since 2013, Jill has been representing indigent criminal defendants as an Assistant Appellate Defender at the Office of the Appellate Defender.
