Supervising Attorney Opportunities

Supervising Attorney Manual

Volunteer to Supervise Students

The Pro Bono Program works with legal community partners to organize clinics in Chapel Hill and across North Carolina throughout the school year to provide legal services to North Carolina residents. These projects provide services ranging from divorce to advance directives to expungement. Please contact the Director of Pro Bono Initiatives to learn about current or upcoming opportunities.

Submit a Project for a Student

The Pro Bono Program solicits projects from practicing attorneys interested in student assistance in providing pro bono legal services. We advertise these projects and match students with the supervising attorney. Student responsibilities for submitted pro bono projects can include research, writing, client intake, litigation preparation, investigation, community education, and advocacy.

Note: All projects submitted must have a supervising attorney. We are not able to provide attorneys or take individual cases for representation. We are also not able to provide malpractice coverage at this time.
