UNC School of Law provides many opportunities to start and continue the conversation with our students. From professional development programming to employer hosted coffee houses and lunch-n-learns to receptions tied to the recruiting seasons, we are happy to help you plan an engagement strategy to enhance your recruiting efforts. Please contact Shawn McKenna in the CDO to learn more about our schedule of events designed to help you keep the conversation going.
Mentor Database
Register in the CDO’s Mentor Database to help students looking to connect with someone interested in their success. The database can be searched by students based on mentor employment history, practice areas, and demographic information. Students will have access to this information and may reach out to connect from time to time.
The Mentor Database is the first place we look when we need to identify possible participants for the programs marked with an asterisk. Register to let us know how you want to engage with students.

Mock Interview Program
Our Mock Interview Program allows alumni from across the country to provide valuable feedback to current students on how best to present themselves during an interview.
The following events and programs are mandatory parts of the professional identity formation curriculum for first-years students.
Student Festival of Legal Learning
The Student Festival of Legal Learning is an in-person professional development program and reception that targets first-year students. It is offered in the early spring in conjunction with our annual Festival of Legal Learning for alumni.
This program is managed with a request for proposal process that invites alumni and employers to submit a proposal for a 45-minute session on a variety of topics related to professional development. View the past year’s program here.
