Biography

Jeanette Evans serves as the Director of Development for Major Gifts at the UNC School of Law. In this role, she is responsible for leading fundraising and advancement strategies to support the School’s top priorities. She works closely with faculty, leadership, and alumni to identify, cultivate, and steward philanthropic partnerships that strengthen academic programs, provide student scholarships, and enhance the overall mission of Carolina Law. Her work focuses on aligning donor interests with institutional needs, creating opportunities for engagement, and ensuring meaningful stewardship that highlights the impact of giving. Before joining Carolina Law, Jeanette served as Director of Development for the School of Business at North Carolina Central University, where she secured more than $1.2 million in philanthropic support within her first eight months, established eight new endowments, and increased overall giving by nearly 50%. She previously spent eight years in University Advancement at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she played a key role in the $85 million Power of Do Capital Campaign and built programs to engage alumni and grow annual giving. Jeanette holds a deep passion for student success and has dedicated her career to building relationships that expand opportunities and create lasting impact in higher education.
