Biography

Alex Boota joined Carolina Law in 2026 as a fellow in the Supreme Court Program. He co-teaches the Supreme Court Clinic and serves as counsel in the Clinic’s litigation. Prior to joining Carolina Law, Alex practiced law in the Supreme Court and Appellate Group at an international law firm. He clerked for Judge A. Marvin Quattlebaum Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, as well as Judge Michael S. Nachmanoff of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He received his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was an Articles Editor of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Supreme Court Clinic and Program in Law and Public Service.
