Biography

M. Scott Peeler, a double Tar Heel (BA ‘93; JD ‘97), started teaching at UNC School of Law in the Spring of 2020. He teaches an advanced seminar on white-collar law which focuses not just on the substance of relevant white-collar laws but on practice tips and helpful information to be successful as a prosecutor, defense attorney, or compliance professional. He recently concluded his service as the government-appointed monitor for Crédit Agricole, one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Scott is a member of Arent Fox’s Executive Committee and leads the firm’s Government Enforcement & White Collar group and the Complex Litigation department in New York. He also serves as co-chair of the Investigations group. He lives in Manhattan. His wife is also a double Tar Heel.
