The UNC Tax Law Program ranks No. 25 in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2020 edition of “America’s Best Graduate Schools”.
It is a robust program that prepares students to practice tax law through courses and extracurricular opportunities focusing on tax law rules, policies and impact. Tax law is relevant to many areas of practice. Whether it is for the formation of a non-profit or a complex business transaction, students can use their degree to work directly in tax law or other related areas.
The program also serves as a bridge between the tax industry and Carolina Law. Through a variety of events, students gain the knowledge and skills needed to make connections with local practitioners.
Because tax policy is constantly changing, the students and faculty involved with the UNC Tax Law Program are dedicated to the research and advocacy that impacts tax policy decision-making.
