After a week-long orientation, UNC School of Law welcomed 186 new J.D. candidates in August. The majority of the Class of 2022 is from North Carolina, but students worldwide have also been drawn to Carolina Law, arriving from 25 states. The incoming class includes students from Argentina, Canada, China, Germany, South Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Members of the incoming class hold diverse degrees from 45 majors earned at 92 undergraduate institutions. Thirteen percent of the new students already hold graduate degrees.
