Carolina Law Alumni Unite for Summer Tour Competition
May 28, 2025Six cities, three weeks, one regional champion
Carolina Law hits the road this June for its annual Summer Tour, bringing together alumni, current students, and admitted students across six cities to celebrate what’s been an incredible year. This summer features Carolina Law’s first-ever regional participation challenge: each city is competing to see who can rally the most donors for the Law Annual Fund to become the Summer Regional Champion.

The tour kicks off June 3 in Raleigh at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton, then travels to Washington D.C. (June 5), Greensboro (June 10), Charlotte (June 11), New York City (June 17), and wraps up in Atlanta (June 24). Each 5:30-7 p.m. gathering brings together alumni, current students, and admitted students for connection and a brief program highlighting what’s happening at the School.
Beyond the events themselves, all alumni are invited to participate in the regional challenge, whether or not they attend their local gathering. Every gift counts toward their city’s total in the race for Summer Regional Champion.
But the real draw isn’t competition, it’s the connections. “I am excited that Carolina Law alumni will be welcoming current Carolina Law students to their communities this June,” said Brian Meacham ’03, president of the Law Alumni Association. “When I think back to my time as a summer associate, the connections I made with Carolina Law alumni really helped me to feel welcome in a world that was otherwise brand new to me. I’m confident that when our alumni meet these students, they will be excited to participate in the Fundraising Challenge.”
The timing couldn’t be better for this celebration. Carolina Law is riding an incredible wave, climbing from No. 45 in 2018 to today’s record-breaking No. 18 position among the nation’s top public law schools. These gatherings give the community a chance to celebrate that shared success together.
Ready to join? Registration deadlines vary by city: May 30 for Raleigh, June 2 for D.C., June 6 for Greensboro and Charlotte, June 13 for New York, and June 20 for Atlanta.
