The roundtable was organized by Henry P. Brandis Distinguished Professor of Law Eisha Jain. The annual series was created to bring together leading legal scholars from across disciplines to discuss their work, exchange feedback, and explore connections across different areas of the law. “This gathering brings together leading immigration scholars and leading policing scholars to discuss broader themes relating immigration, policing, and the Constitution,” says Jain.

Andy Hessick, Interim Dean of Carolina Law, stated, “This Roundtable continues Carolina Law’s longstanding tradition of supporting excellence in faculty scholarship.   Carolina Law’s criminal law program is nationally recognized —  ranked #17 in the nation by U.S. News  — and our immigration faculty includes some of the most impactful immigration scholars in the country.  We are delighted to host this gathering and continue our tradition of supporting cutting-edge legal research and scholarship.”
