Biography
Anna “Annie” Scardulla is a Clinical Associate Professor of Law. She joined the faculty in 2020. She teaches Research, Reasoning, Writing, and Advocacy I and II. Her research interests include legal writing, legal pedagogy, advocacy, and lawyer well-being. Scardulla earned her B.A. in Communication with highest distinction from Saint Louis University. She then graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she was a member of the Louisiana Law Review and president of the Moot Court Board. Scardulla practiced complex tort and automotive products liability law for three years before returning to the LSU Law Center to serve as the school’s first advocacy teaching fellow. As a fellow, Scardulla taught first-year legal writing and the summer judicial externship seminar. She helped administer the Law Center’s moot court, trial advocacy, and dispute resolution programs; and she created the “Fit to Practice” Civil Litigation Workshop Series. These efforts resulted in the LSU Law students voting Scardulla the 2020 “LSU Law Professor of the Year.”
