Biography

As a Faculty Administrative Support Specialist, Peyton is responsible for assisting the School of Law faculty with various projects and organizational duties, including editing documents, arranging appointments, and completing financial reports. She is passionate about supporting UNC faculty, staff, and students to facilitate learning. Peyton is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, having earned her bachelor’s degree in English and Comparative Literature, with a concentration in Writing, Editing, and Digital Publishing. During her time at UNC, she gained work experience as an office assistant for International Student and Scholar Services and as the Full Time MBA Program Office Assistant at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. As a result of her time in these UNC offices, Peyton developed her customer service skills to provide professional and enthusiastic individualized support to a diverse set of students and faculty members. She is proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and has used them extensively to track and analyze data and edit documents for accessibility. Peyton has also worked on Climatopia™, an innovative fabric board game meant to teach people of all ages about climate change disaster resilience. In her role on the 2024 Spring Research and Communications team, she developed WordPress editing skills and combined them with her prior copy and developmental editing abilities to improve the Climatopia™ website and game outreach. Peyton has presented at several notable venues, including the 2024 UNC Cleantech Summit, as part of the project.
