Stephanie Metzen

Faculty Administrative Support Specialist

Biography

Stephanie is a Faculty Administrative Support Specialist for the UNC School of Law. She worked at the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center for three years, first as a Data Sharing Coordinator for the Office of Genomics Research and then as an Administrative Support Associate for the Administrative Operations Team. Stephanie previously served as an AmeriCorps member at the Durham Literacy Center and spent a year teaching English at La Escuela Politécnica Nacional in Quito, Ecuador. A proud Tar Heel, Stephanie graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her M.A. in Global Studies focusing her capstone research on the role of nexus in asylum adjudications for unaccompanied minors from Honduras. In 2019, Stephanie co-led a delegation to Honduras to meet with stakeholders and activists to explore the push and pull factors contributing to migration from Honduras to the United States.
