Biography

Cindi advises the Student Bar Association, acts as a liaison between students and the law school and university administration regarding student life issues. She leads the law school peer advisor program, the Dean’s Fellows Program, including training and supervising 40+ upper class peer advisors for 1L students and transfer students in onboarding and mentoring students during their first year of law school as well as leads and directs program development and student support for the Chancellors Scholars Program, the highest merit scholarship student group including faculty mentoring program and Chancellors Scholars Enrichment Fund. She also provides strategic guidance to individual student organizations and support to the members and leaders of the school’ s affinity student organizations, representing students from historically under-represented backgrounds and supports individual students with student life-related concerns.

Cindi practiced law in Charleston, South Carolina litigating medical negligence and employment law cases. Most recently, she worked on the multi-district opioid litigation against pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors. She is a Riley Institute Diversity Leadership Fellow, served on the South Carolina Bar Wellness and Diversity Committees, has written several articles about wellness in the legal profession, and is especially fascinated by the intersection of law and neuroscience.
