Office of Communications

The UNC School of Law Office of Communications ensures that the school’s internal and external communications align with the school’s mission, its strategic plan objectives, and effectively supports brand messaging. We engage with the media, departments within the law school and with schools and units across the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus.

We serve Carolina Law through the following services:

Website, Social Media, and Digital Communications

The office is responsible for generating engaging content and managing the website. Up-to-date news stories are published weekly, and webpages are consistently updated to reflect the most accurate information. The office also manages all of the law school’s social media including: FacebookTwitter (X)InstagramLinkedIn, and YouTube.

Media Relations

The office fosters relationships with local, state and national media outlets by offering our faculty as subject matter experts on the most pressing issues in the news. The full-time staff writer also distributes school news about faculty research, students, and alumni.

Publications

The office works with all law school departments and students to write, design, and publish brochures, annual reports, flyers, direct mail and newsletters. Communications also produces the biannual digital alumni magazine, which highlights school research, accomplishments and events.

Video and Photography

The office has in-house photography and videography available to cover school, student and alumni events. When necessary, the office depends on a robust list of external vendors and contractors to capture events.
