Biography

As a member of the Faculty Administrative Support team, Laura supports our Law School Professors, Deans, and Staff with a multitude of academic related assignments from basic to advanced levels of complexity. Laura is excited to return to UNC Law where she completed 1L year in 2020. Her areas of interest in Law are tribal sovereignty policy and civil rights. Laura has a Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill with a focus on Community Management and Policy Practice which underscores her dedication to service, ethics, and the well-being of communities. Her experience at the UNC American Indian Center and the Interfaith Council’s Community House have honed her interpersonal and case management skills, as well as her ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams and communities. Laura’s recent role as a Human Resources (HR) Administrative Coordinator at Costco Corporate strengthened her administrative and organizational competencies. In this role, she managed the onboarding process for new hires and ensured compliance with HR policies and procedures, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism.

  • Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Psychology from Skidmore College with admission to Psi Chi (International Honor Society in Psychology), Master of Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, and 1L year at UNC School of Law.
